Coming to Life: the Purpose of this Blog

Gardening has always lived in me as a seed waiting to bloom.

“That seems like something I’d like to do,” I told myself for years.

In the Spring of 2013 I had the chance to explore the satisfaction of creating my own little garden oasis filled with care and the benefits of attention. I scoured the Internet for information that educated me, but also confused me. I look back on the learning curve of basic gardening and wish I had had a resource to steer me from some of the stupid things I thought, said and did. That’s what I hope this blog can provide to those out there with gardening in their heart and the courage to give it a try.

I still have a long way to go, but gardening is now part of the fabric of my being. A lifelong affair that is only now beginning to bud.
